Talks 2020-2021

Our 2020-21 season of talks was restricted by the coronavirus pandemic. Indeed we were unable to hold any meetings in 2020. However the programme has been resumed in 2021 by a series of talks via the Zoom internet facility. All talks will start at 7:30pm

Thursday 28 January 2021 Max Keen:  “Sir Francis Drake, England’s Greatest Mariner?”

Thursday 25 February 2021 Richard Carter: “Medieval Pilgrimage, with reference to Worcester and Evesham“

Thursday 25 March 2021 Roger Butler:  “Canals and Waterways”
Our next talk is planned for 25 March. More details – including how to access the Zoom session – will be posted here shortly.

Thursday 25 April 2021 Max Hunt: Shelsley Walsh: The Story of a Village“

Note: It has been our custom to hold our AGM immediately before the April talk. This year, as it is planned to hold the talk by Zoom, an alternative arrangement will be made for the AGM;. It is proposed that the AGM for 2020-21 (and indeed that for 2019-20) will be held separately, with the formal business carried out by email and post, with a meeting by Zoom on – it is tentatively suggested – 18 April. More information will be put here when the details have been confirmed.

Thursday 24 May 2021 David Ella:  “Evesham Turnpikes”
