The Vale of Evesham Historic Society

WHO WE ARE

The VEHS is above all a Society owned by our members.

We are a registered charity, and keep to the guidance on duties and responsibilities issued by the charity commission.

An organisation holding an important historical collection, we are also a member of the Museums Association and abide by their Code of Ethics.

As an organisation concerned with all aspects of local history, we are also a member of the Worcestershire Local History Forum.

We are organised by a committee, which is appointed at our AGM each year, and governed by a constitution dedicated to the fair running of the society.

We hold information on our members, and fully recognise our responsibilities to protect this information by compliance with the appropriate data protection procedures.

The Vale of Evesham Historical Society has been active in the preservation and continuation of the historical sites in Evesham and the surrounding areas for over seventy years.

Alongside key members of the community that make up our committee, members from all around contribute to making the Evesham Historical Society what it is: A close-knit group of history enthusiasts. We have been having talks and presentations regularly for many years, and have been setting up displays at many prominent locations in the Vale, amongst other things!

The Society is affiliated to many related organisations. We have a formal partnership with the Churches Conservation Trust with an interest in St Lawrence's Church.
